Hella lighting (4kq) -- cops search?

I run 80w driving lamps (your main driving lights) and 100w high
beams. Hella. Never the first hint of police activity, questioning, or
suspicion. But then, I am a considerate driver.
TIP: If by some happenstance the cops question you about your lighting
wattage, (fat chance, I say) then you are like Sgt. Schultz -- you know
NOTHING. Remain silent. And never *consent* to a search of your
vehicle. In traffic court, demand a jury trial, or consult an attorney. I
would like to see the D.A. who took the time to dredge up the obscure laws
and regs that it would take to prove this kind of violation. Even then,
you still do not give up your traditional defenses to crimes, such as
mistake, justification, necessity. Our brethren can use their collective
imagination to provide other useful advice no doubt.
This is not intended to be legal advice, but merely commentary on a point
of interest.
