Ac/Heat problems

What year/model Audi, Robert? On Type 44's with the electronic climate
control, the blower fan responds to temperature sensors (doesn't blow on
cold days, for example, until there's enough heat in the coolant to provide
heat in the cabin). Once the temperature that's indicated on the control
screen is approached, fan shuts down, doesn't come back on until a certain
amount of drop in temperature. However, if set to defrost, blower should
run regardless of the temperature setting/coolant temperature. If that's
the case, you probably need a new blower motor.
