You can safely use the B+ post on the back of the alternator. I'll bet this is a
better place than the jump post

Yes, one relay for highs, one for lows. You should be able to get by with one
for both highs, and one for both lows. Total of 2 relays.

If possible, install the relays inside the car to prevent water and corrosion to
enter the relay.

And don't forget FUSES! As close to the power source as possible.
