OK, I see, I had it done long ago, and the guy had a two piece collar that
would clamp onto the hub under the race, and either the hub or collar were
pressed down by the piston (can't remember for sure.) I get what you're
saying, instead of this collar, the official procedure is a gear puller
anchored to the top of the hub and the arms up under the race.
The detail about the hub needing replacing if the race doesn't stick to it
is defintily something to remember, great rule of thumb.
