A6 Outside Temperature Gauge Backlight

If it's anything like the one in my 90S...............

Remove the gage cluster, the outside temp display (OTD) is screwed to
the bottom of the gage cluster, remove it. Once you remove it, if I
remember correctly, you will also be able to disassemble it. OR there
may be two screws holding it together, I can't remember.

Either way, you have to get it apart. Be VERY careful when pulling it
apart, there are two rubbery looking pieces on either side, pay careful
attention to how they come out, if they come out. These rubbery pieces
are actually conductors. You will have to pull out the printed circuit
board and unsolder the small bulb. The replacement can be found at Radio
Shack. It's a 60mA, 12 volt bulb, I don't remember the exact part
number. Solder in the new bulb. Put everything back together.

I would recommend plugging everything in and testing before completing
the reassembly.
