My speedo and odo (electronic) became intermittent a few months ago and
after a couple of weeks, stopped completely.  While replacing the power
steering rack last month, I noticed a huge amount of dirt mixed with G2000
coating the sensor and its leads.  I took the sensor off, cleaned it in
petrol (despite being in the middle of a fuel crisis at the time), replaced
it and it hasn't skipped a beat since.
