oil light above 3k rpm

I have a 88 90Q  w/ the ng motor code.
For some wierd reason my oil pressure light on the
system check is coming on any time I get above 3000
rpm.(really annoying on the freeway)  The lifters
aren't tapping so I figure I don't have an oil
pressure problem.  I search the archives an the only
real advice it gave me was to change my oil.  did
that.  Didn't help.

I was hoping one of ya'll could help point me
in the correct direction to getting this fix.

p.s.
does any know of a really good audi mechanic in the 
DFW area.  I been experience other problems I think
are out of my hands
