I have used 5 minute epoxy to adhere jumbo paper clips in place
of the broken tabs. This involved building up the epoxy around
the paper clip wires because there is not a lot of material to
attach to the clip. I bent the clips so they were lined up with
the slots in the console. Then I bent the interior and exterior
hoops of each paper clip in opposite directions to make a spring
loaded sort of tab. I hold each clip closed and start it into
the associated slot on the console and then release it once it
is started so it can spring open to give some retention force.
Not a perfect solution, but things are holding together.
