I wish!!! We all know that Japan has the best of Honda/yota/nissan.
All we get over here are the dregs of the lot. Why should we expect 1.8T in
the new cars over here when those engines are available in performance
packages in the larger cars. We will, on the other hand, most likely see
newer, smaller block and possibly a return of the 1.6 only as an option,
maybe the 2.0 8V if we're lucky. When have the market researchers ever
listened to the public? Besides VAG have a good Philosophy of using
existing engineering in redisigned cars, and I have a feeling that they're
not done with old 2.0 8V's out of the discontinued MK3 VW.
