Passenger window problem on V8Q

I have a problem with the pass. window on my '90 V8Q. it goes down just
fine, never any hesitation or anything, but when it comes time to go up, it
has a mind of it's own. Sometimes fine, other times it wants me to wait for
about 5 min. before going up. This is true from the pass door sw. or the
drivers sw. I have checked the harness wiring by the door post. I have found
that if I don't open it fully, then "bump" it down with the switch, then
IMMEDIATELY go up, it works. I know that this has to be bad for the window
regulator assembly... Perhaps the motor or cable assy needs lubrication, but
when it does travel, it goes good, like there is a good motor and sufficient
lubrication.

Anyone heard of this kind of thing?
