what makes a 90 a "sport" model

It depends on which year you're talking about.  In 1993, there were
three 90 models: 90S, 90CS, 90CS Quattro Sport (according to the service
training book).  Carter has the book for 1994, which is probably right. 
In 1995, that must have changed again.  Didn't they also start having
quattro on automatic cars in '95?  Or was it later.  At any rate,
"Sport" meant different things for different years.
