Hi all,

What is it with working on your car on a Sunday? Must be a subset of 
Murphy's Law especially for these occasions. Every time I do that, I come 
to the conclusion that I either have the wrong parts (like the door lock 
cylinder) or not enough parts... today, a good friend helped me change my 
rear brake shoes (yup, drum brakes on the FWD 1.8 80) to get rid of the 
pulling brakes and scouring noise. Turned out that the brake shoes were OK, 
but the brake cylinders were bad (one was weeping, the other one leaked 
badly). Naturally, there was no way to get new brake cylinders on a Sunday 
afternoon...

Oh well, at least I now have a driver's door lock again (that is, until 
some @#$#%$ decides to break into my car once more).
