got radiator fan?

Hi all.

I have replaced bearings in a radiator fan I bought on a junk yard just to
have a spare one.  I don't remember how it was before I did it but now when
I rotate the shaft by hand it does not go smoothly but it is like rotor
touch something (magnets). When I connected  12V and let it work 2 min it
did not get warm as it would be if there was friction.
My question: does anybody have fresh memory of trying rotate new radiator
fan motor with hand?  Was it going absolutly smooth or like it has slight
resistance to rotate?
