Tess,
I've run a few sets of the RE-71's and have put some miles on
the AVS Intermediates. The AVS's are great track tires but
thats about it. They SUCK in the rain. THe RE-71's are Decent
in the rain (GREAT in their day but Technology has surpassed
them) but they wear very fast.
THe RE-730 should have every bit the dry performance of the
RE-71 but with much butter wear and much better wet performance.
This is the tire that I will be putting on my 5ktq or my 4ktq
(depends which one wears out first) when I replace tires. its
gotten some Great reviews, is affordable, had more grip than the
Khumo 712's, better rain than the older designed tires, decent
wear, etc. ONLY complaint is that if it wears unevenly it
becomes very loud. So watch your alignment and tire pressures.
