Hello all,
3 items
1) Found the replacement bulbs for the various switches in an '89 200.
They are about 1/4" long with really fine wires. One does not have to
replace the switch to get working bulbs.
Lightbulbsdirect.com
It appears to be a T-1 bulb. Will keep you posted when I get them and
they actually work. They also have the larger peanut bulbs (3/4" long)
They do not have the twist mount bulbs although one can replace the
bulbs only in the twist housings.

2) Have had good success with Cramolin Gold instead of the $$$ Stabilant
(which I cannot find in my area). Fixed the gage pod and now everything
works correctly. Very similar stuff and had been useful in general
electronics repair.

3) Found a '91 200TQ wagon w/ 90K miles in perfect shape. No fault
codes, no dents not even any scratches, all the trim looks perfect, the
engine is clean and runs perfectly, the interior... you get the picture.
Problem is, they want 14K , and I just recently got an '89 which I am
working on. Is this car worth it? Or do I just keep fixing the stuff on
the '89.
'89 still Needs: struts frnt and rear + top bearing
                            front wheel bearings noisy
                            engine mounts
                            bomb
boost is still low after replacing
Everything on Scott's list
car runs and idles perfectly, just very low
boost, (1.2) which gets a bit higher at lower elevations (1.3). Clearly
only the wastegate is controlling boost. WTF? Oh and no fault codes.
Thanks to all on the list!
