Alternator position adjustment

Why does the alternator in my '90 200TQ sit too far to the rear? It
sits about 3 mm more to the rear than the crank pulley, so the belt is
not straight, and makes a small whine, and it probably causes
premature wear on the belt too. This occured when I replaced the
alternator with a rebuilt Bosch..

Is there any adjustment possibilities?
