subframe alignment

I had my alignment done a while ago and the front right camber was adjusted
all the way in one direction and was still not correct. NTB did this and did
not know why they could not get it right. I have H&R springs with the stock
shocks (don't ask me why the PO left these on). Anyway, I think the subframe
could be out of alignment. How much work is involved in aligning the
subframe? Are any special tools required?
Should I leave this one to the...dare I say....dealer?
