Thanks Phil and others who replied to confirm the identity of this car.
These 'busses' sure seem good value for money compared to a Urq. A friend
of mine used to have an 86 200 qt and although not quite as exciting to
drive as my urq it was adequate. If I was after a car I'd take a look at
this 20v car it seems a real bargin for £1600. My understanding of the 20v
motor is that it is more reliable than the 10v motor but if things do go
wrong its mega bucks to repair. But still at that price if it lasted a
year or 2 I'd have got my moneys worth from it.
The same friend is now a Saab nut and has had a few 900 and 9000 16v
turbos. He has just got a 9000 Carlsson which again are pocket money sub
£1500 and go like stink with very little turbo lag. Torque steer is a
problem though as it is FWD. They seem very reliable.
I'll stick with my Camaro for a few more years I think. It has been very
reliable and as I have said before parts prices are very low. Although
rare in the UK big sales in the US have kept prices low. I really miss
that feel of quality that only German cars seem to give though.
Thanks
Simon
