Tire dilemna, need fast advice

I finally stopped procrastinating about getting new tires for my
'00 A6Q. Have it down to the BFGoodrich Comp T/A VR4 and the
Bridgestone Potenza 950.
Now for my dilemna. The tire shop can get two of the 950's, or all
four of the Comp T/A's tomorrow. The other two 950's would have to
wait, probably at least a month :-(
The front tires on my car are TOTALLY shot, and absolutely have
to be replaced this week. The rear tires still have some decent
tread, although they are the sucky Eagle GS-A's that I hate so much.
What is the list consensus on running two different types of
tires (same size, same "performance all season" rating) front
and rear; one set brand new one set about half done.
The rear's would make it through tread-wise even though I've never
been happy with them. Should I just bite the bullet and get the set
of four Comp T/A's? Price is a little higher, but not out of line.
I need to call him back this afternoon to let him know.
