Door trim

I have a rear door trim piece that's bent and the trailing edge keeps 
lifting off.  I've tried several adhesives, but it keeps detaching at 
highway speeds.    I understand from postings here in the past that the 
adhesive used to mount these trim pieces make it impossible to detach them 
from a wreck and reinstall them without the chromed surface looking terrible.
