Brakes and too much Brake

I think what the guy was trying to say is that there
is a point where you get severely diminishing returns.
My UFO brakes on my '91 200q are excellent brakes for
everyday use, but I don't know just yet if they are
adequate for driving hard through a long sequence of
twisties (do they have enough heat dissipation?) or for
use at the track.
I plan on upgrading to Porsche brakes because I fear
that the brake part cost for the UFO brakes is rather
exorbitant and I could use the better pedal modulation
of a 4-piston caliper, not to mention the greater clamping
force available. I figure that with a Boxster caliper,
I am not using a huge caliper so I won't be overtaxing
the master cylinder, as opposed to running 12 piston
Alcons front and rear on my car. :-)
That said, if I had the money, I'd do a full 996 turbo
brake system (front and rear), with Porsche rotors if
that can be done, or RS2 hubs and uprights (if that is
possible) to use a bolt-on Porsche solution w/o any
brackets or adapters. :-)
I think the GRM article would be very good reading on brake
systems- I took a quick glance at it today.
