Precision. Measure the airway of a throttle body at idle - it's
miniscule and the tiniest turn of the screw affects idle dramatically.
The end of the screw moves in and out of a tiny airway with a precision
of hundredths of a millimetre - absolutely impossible to achieve with
a contraption as crude as the airflow sensor.
