i had a similar problem happen to me. The car acted like the key was turned
off. It first happened when i hit a bump. The engine turned off and I
coasted to the side of the road. It wouldnt start, it wasnt getting any
spark. I played with the wires connecting to the ignition coil and the
distributer cap. It then started right up. I drove it home and wiggled the
wires while it was running. If I even slightly nudged one of the small
wires connecting to the ignition coil then the engine would shut off. I
cleaned the connection and made sure it was securely attached and i havent
had a problem since. This all happened earlier today though, so im not yet
sure if that fixed it. It seems to be the same problem you are having. I
think that when she stalled the car, it bucked just enough to wiggle the
wire loose (as it did for me when i hit the bump). Check all those wires
for a solid connection. Heres hoping it is something that simple. (For
both of us)
