<< Just took delivery of my New to Me 97 A8 4.2 quattro. All I can say is:
WHAT
 A CAR!!!!

It's the cashmere grey with pearl effect, looks brown in the sunlight and
grey at night. Has the ecru interior, looks nice! Has the 16" stock wheels
and the tires were replaced. It has 42K on it and is a one owner car.

Saw it on ebay a few weeks ago, a wholesaler bought it from the dealer in
West Palm Beach where it was bought and traded in. Flew down to FL with my
LOVELY girlfriend last Saturday to pick it up, it is almost absolutely
 perfect!!!!

We drove back in it, I have to say, the radio controls on the steering wheel
is probably one of the nicest options on the car!

Trip computer MPG was as follows: approximately 21 hours driving time,
average speed of 67 MPH, and the average MPG was 26.2!!!! The car has a 23.7
gallon tank which gives it something like a 630 mile range at this fuel
 consumption.

The stereo is awesome, the way the tape deck, radio, CD player and steering
wheel controls are integrated, it is awesome!

The car is wicked fast, going from a 91 200q, I already know what a car with
power is. I wish it had a six speed manual.......I don't necessarily like
the way it downshifts when you want more than a little power. The tranny, I
guess like a lot of them, sometimes clunks a little when it shifts. You just
have to feather it correctly and it's very smooth.

The climate control did not have the manual control that I wanted, I think
it has a sunlight detector, so if it is in manual and you go from shade to
sun, the fan automatically turns up one notch or so. Also, had to keep the
temperature at something like 67 to keep the cool air coming out of the
center vents. Turn it up and it would kinda go into limbo mode and I
couldn't figure out what vents it was coming from even though I had the
vents set to the middle position.

My car is absolutely pristine, the engine compartment looks new, the
interior and exterior looks new. 42K miles and I got it for -- are you ready
for this? $25,100. I think it is the deal of the century......
