vibration damper torque setting

yes, i've not heard of it before, but was digging though some manuals (one
of the nice benefits of pulling late night stints at the local audi dealers
reconditioning the "so"'s gearbox). by some strange twist of fate, a couple
of these manuals have found their way home with me. lonely I guess.

anyway, it's specifically mentioned in an update to the service manual
dealing with the aan motor mechanicals (#000.5261.29.20). more
specifically, the manual dealing with "aan" mechanicals has an appendix
(bulletin #4) covering the "aby" mechanicals (basically the "aby" equivalent
of the "aan" manual). bulletin #5 (dated 10/93, #000.5261.05.20) covers
"removing and installing toothed belt". when dealing with torquing the
vibration damper, the specification is:

150nm + 180degrees with the 2079 tool

i would guess that this applies to all the i5's - as it does for the
aan/aby/adu - certainly good news for those of us without the 3/4" drive
torque wrenches.

I've never heard of it with any engine.
