200Q still dead, now what?

Yesterday, I bought a new starter ofr my '89 200Q and put the battery 
on the charger.  Well, I just got the new starter installed, hooked 
up the battery, turned the key, and click,click,click.  A few words 
that I won't repeat here were uttered, then I went through and 
rechecked all the connections.  All seems fine, and I even tried 
another battery.  So, now what do I do?
