New to the List

Hi,

My name's Jeff, and I'm from Boston, MA, USA ("Hello, Jeff").  Current ride
is a (ick) '94 Ford Taurus, but it's served me well with over 150,000 miles
on the original engine AND tranny....ANYWAY,

Just subscribed to the list.  I'm a big Volvo fan (on the swedishbricks
list), but have always had this thing for the 4000's.    I'm currently in
the process of looking for a new (used) car and I think i'll be considering
a 4000 as an option.

Not knowing much about them, I was wondering if anyone had some wisdom
they'd like to share with me about this car (and I'm pretty sure you all
have some opinions  :) ).  What to look for, any problems/issues I should be
aware of....Will be looking for the newest possible (86-87)...

So, in closing, glad to be here, and thanks for the (hopefully) forthcoming
information...
