Bill,
The only thing I can think of is that your '86 5kt is
an early build with G54 single piston calipers. The wheels
were slightly altered sometime in the '86 model year,
in order to increase caliper clearance for the twin piston
G60 brakes.

I would have to check, but I think all of my aero wheels
are the -D prefix, as I have never had any clearance
problems with the wheels.

Your 100 has G60 calipers, if I'm not mistaken, which
would be the reason why you have very tight clearances
with your wheels from the 5kt.
