I saw a '56 Mercedes 300SL roadster at a shop having its soft top replaced
about 10 years ago.  It had about 30K on the odometer.  The shop people
told me the car lived in a heated garage on the Leelenau Peninsula (Little
Finger of the Michigan handprint) where some wealthy folks with about 10
other residences maintained a "cottage" on the shores of Lake
Michigan.  They got it out about two nice, warm days each summer.
