rubber hoses misery

Has anybody noticed that 200K+ miles is a time when rubber hoses begin to
disintegrate all at once or it's just me? I had one vacuum hose, then a
bleeder hose and then the lower radiator hose crack on me all in a five days
span. Is this trend going to continue? Just wondering.
