No Euro hitch usable in US

I would seem that the ball is removable from the German variety so other
than a domestic purchase in Germany and taking the chance on a small ball
size difference, those looking for an A6 hitch are out of luck. Although it
is conceivable that a US version might be made to fit, I ma not sure that
the load can be dispersed to the load bearing parts of the car's anatomy.
