a 'different' power window problem ('86 5TQ)

Most common source of this problem is the wiring in the driver doorjamb
breaking down because of the frequent flexing with door use.  There IS a
relay that controls power for the windows and sunroof operation.  Its
identity and location have been posted in the past and should be
discoverable through a Google search at www.audifans.com
