Craig Niederst (hey! you have the same configuration of Audis I do!) writes
about the chipmunk in his heat exchanger box:

I'm lucky -- the only pollutants in either of my Audis are the leaves that
get sucked into the heater blower of my CGT. They DO make a horrific noise,
though, and every so often when one crumbles it blows out into the
passenger's compartment. I remember reading YEARS ago on the Q-list about a
solution involving screening in the entrance. (Yes, Brett, I will look it
up on the site before asking about it. :-)

Yes on cat. No on poison.
When the creature dies, you want to KNOW where the body is. If you think
warm sunflower seeds in the heat exchanger make for an interesting aroma,
you really don't want to think about warm decomposing chipmunk.
And if THAT isn't a lead in to the day's festivities, I don't know what is,
so happy Hallowe'en to you all! I'm making a point of driving the orange
and black Audi all day. :-)
