For the late model Audis, all of the Avants are quattro, so that would
answer your question. Tell him to get the S4 Avant- tons of power, awesome
car, nice hauling capacity with the Avant, although you still have to
remember that it's not a huge car like the A6 Avant or the allroad.

I wouldn't get the sport interior with dogs- the Alcantara cleans easily
but I imagine with fur being shed, it's best to stick to smooth leather.

BTW, depending on how hard-core of a drive he will be with the Audi, I
would suggest looking at two mods- a short-shifter to shorten the rather
long throws of the 6-speed and after he drives it for a while, look into
suspension mods to lessen the body roll and tighten up the ride a bit.

If he drives in snow and salt, think twice before getting coilovers- the
H&Rs corrode over time and the collars get frozen, a real PITA to adjust
once that happens. BTDT.
