driving fast (what's the fastest you've gone in a car)

fastest for me as a pasenger was an indicated 165mph in a friends mid 90's camaro with a very worked LT1 motor in it. he claimed the car would top out at around 175 but we ran out of room and did not have a radar detector with us (not like that would have mattered at all!! but the car was still accelerating when he decided to back off)

the fastest for me driving was in my 5KTQ on my way up to watkins glen for a q club drivers ed. I was on I95 in north carolina and a guy in a mustang with a roll cage and plates that read "crazyhos" or something like that tried to pass me. well we were about dead even all the way up to about 142 mph at which point we started to come up on other cars and I let off. the car really felt fine at that speed.
oh yea I had in the car with me my track wheels & tires, my tool box and a 3 ton floor jack with jack stands!
