I really need some help on the one. I have a 1988 Audi 90 Quattro. The
other night I changed the air filter, spark plugs and wires. I did all
this because it was running very poorly whenever the weather was wet.
After I was done I started the car and it ran ok for about a minute.
Then is started coughing and missing and finally stalled. Once it's
warmed up, it won't start. It smells like it's burning very rich so I
think it's an air problem.
After reading some newsgroup posts, I ran across something about a cold
start. It seems to me like the cold start mode is running fine and when
the car warms up to normal operation and cold start shuts off, the car
dies. Does that seem plausible???
If so, where can I look for a problem? I looked extensively for a
vacuum leak to no avail. What could I have dislodged or broken that
would cause these symptoms? It was working ok before the repairs.
I really appreciate any input.
Thanks
