I just went through this myself after I found a killer deal on another
vehicle.  I had the q sold when my daughter expressed interest in it, so I
kept it as an extra car.  I expect something bad is likely to happen to it,
with a new driver and 200k on the clock.  If it's expensive, it's sold or
scrapped, and I'm glad it wasn't one of our nicer cars.  As much as I love
it, it wouldn't be worth fixing a $1500 problem and waiting for the next
calamity.

BTW, the prices on used cars are unbelievably low, fortunate time to be
looking for something newer.
