Engine flushing opinions

Actually, that's real good stuff and endorsed by VW/Audi.  But if I
remember correctly, it's pretty pricey.  Why is it if it's made in
Germany it's good stuff and if it's made in the USA it's crap.

ive used the oil additive made by lubro moly several times. its an "add
with oil/filter change, drive 200 miles, change oil/filter again" type
thing. i forget its actual name bc the can's all german. oh wait....
"ventil sauber" i think its called. it just came to me.

my local mechanic recc's it highly, and i tend to trust lubro's products
as being relatively smoke n mirror free.

i will say it seems to run a bit smoother and lifters seem quieter after
such treatments, but we all know how subjective perception is =)

its cheap, and makes me feel like im doing good things to my audi.
besides, isnt the placebo effect "real"? ;)
