Hall update/question

Good afternoon folks,
(I tried posting this in the moerning, but it didn't seem to "take".
Mebbe it was too long winded
It appears that I was chasing several gremlins, and was ultimately guilty of
skipping steps in good diagnostic practice.
Some mitigating circumstances may apply... (the light was in my eyes),
but the fact remains..
As Phil pointed out, there is no substitute for pulling codes (2-1-1-3)
Cool, Hall sender.
Replace Distributor with Gina's (identical)
Starts right up, warms up to temp, I shut down.
Starts right up. I shut down.
Wait half hour.
No start
Codes = 4-4-4-4
rrrrrrrrr
Back to the Bently, checking this, that and every other damn thing.
Coil checks out Ok,Timing sensor = 1K Ohms, RPM sensor = 1 K ohms
voltages check out to transistor @ coil, etc, etc, etc...
(bonehead forgets to redo visual check for spark)
bonehead remembers the basics and checks for spark..
At this point its dark, Voila... good spark
I prolly didn't see it the first time cause the light was in my eyes...
Damn, its been fuel all along (along with the Hall sensor).
Leaking injectors strike again.. The last time was two years ago,
but it was in the summertime, and presented differently, i.e. didn't just
start up after 2 hours.
So, why now?
Cold start injector fires when engine cools.
(Somehow.. explanations solicited) the air is purged froom the lines and the
injectors get back to injecting and Max is good to go.
I know I should just replace all of the injectors, but the first round will
involve pulling the injectors and a thorough cleaning, replacing those that
are non-savable.
In the meantime, I'll run some Techron through (again)and set up a
work-around.
Question I can't tell from the Bently.. which temperature sender is used to
control the cold start injector circuit. I figure that if I either ground or
open ( The Bently will tell me the correct resistance) the corect temp.
sender, the controller will be fooled into firing the cold start circuit,
and I won't be stranded, and will be able to start running Max to work, and
running the Techron through, without fear of being stranded until I can pull
the injectors next weekend...
Many thanks for your collective patience.
I know that this was long winded, but it may save someone, somewhere the
frusteration, anguish.. whatever of being stranded by leaking injector
syndrome..
Mark.. humbled again
