So buy a 200q20v, a V8q, UrS-car, or go the LT1 route :-)
IMHO, 10vt's w/k26's just cannot be described as having low end
torque(which is what a good jump off the line comes from) nor are
they known for quick response. Spoolup in my old 5000 was torture(I
used to joke that the time it took to spool up was a direct
relationship to the size of the object behind you whose speed you
need to surpass :-)
Don't get me wrong...the qlcc chip is a great bargain and the earlier
type 44's are nice and light, so the results are really nice from
everyone I've talked to/heard comment on it, but it'll take a little
bit more time for stuff to really start happenin' in a 10vt than it
does in a 20vt.
Plus, I just love the later style dash/interior and them wheel
arches, but I'm totally biased :-)
