Torquing cam cover nuts

Apropos of my posts over the weekend, it looks as if I'll be R&Ring the cam
cover on my 4kq. I see that the nuts holding it on want to be torqued to 7
ft-lb. While I don't have it handy, my torque wrench goes up to something like
100 or 150 ft-lb, and I don't think it'll be accurate in this range. If I have
to buy another torque wrench suited to lower torque, so be it, but what with the
replacement gasket, this is already shaping up as an expensive oil change. Are
there any guidelines for doing it by feel? TIA
