I've never had much luck reusing those things, they seem to deform too much
on removal to be useful again. Preferred technique seems to be to set up the
washers lightly in place, hold base of the column with your toe, and wack
once(forcefully) with a hammer onto a 22mm deep socket. It applies the right
level of force to set it all up and at the right depth.

Oh, Marc, I see you're in Hartford now, if you ever need anything oversize
moved down CT way, let me know. I run the truck+trailer empty to Exit44 on a
regular basis.
