Wiesbaden-Reset?

Is there a way to reset the OEM Wiesbaden radio (Audi 80/90 made by
Panasonic)?  As with the Delta and Gamma, I left it on and connected to
power for a few hours, but it doesn't seem to reset, still says SAFE.
Pressing the AM/FM and Scan does nothing.  Disconnecting power does
nothing.  Still on "SAFE", juicing it via a battery charger....side of
radio is getting a bit warm.

I may have to swap it out even if I get rid of the "SAFE"....pulled the
radio and it has the number "8214" written in a few places, I tried "214"
before it locked, hoping "1214" might do it.  Can't be the number written
on it since the first digit can only be blank or "1".  Will try the
factory "1111" if I can get it unlocked.
