I found them to basically be unresponsive to faxes, probably because the
parts department doesn't have its own fax.
My last purchase there involved them getting parts from two different
warehouses and then forwarding the order to me. What I got initially (a
couple weeks after placing the order) was a letter advising me the parts
were there and I should bring my car in for the associated service. Yeah,
from Northern Michigan to California when what I needed was needed to make
the car run.
When I ordered hydraulics hoses for my 200q20v, the high pressure hose to
the rack was correct, but the low pressure one from the reservoir didn't
have the O-rings at the banjo fitting, but instead was set up for crush
washers like on my 5ktq. Didn't include the crush washers either.
I don't think the order takers are the order fillers. If you have the
correct parts number to give them and they confirm that that's the parts
number you're getting, you have the best chance of success. If you say, "I
need the thingy that attaches to the thangy on the '91 model" you're more
likely to get an incorrect part. That seems to happen with all the
mail-order suppliers, however, and sometimes happens right there in front
of you. I got three new belts for a 4k engine locally the other day,
matching the NAPA numbers on the old belts. Made the mistake of not
comparing belt with belt, but accepting the number on the paper
sleeve. They had the wrong sleeve on two of them.
