my rotor is bigger than your rotor now 7A distributor

Listers,

I received today a free 7A distributor that has a metal gear.
I've compared it with the 3B distributor that has the broken plastic
(bakelite) gear and they look nearly identical, and the gear's teeth are
the same...

Can I use it in my 3B engine or it won't work?

new shocks, Eibach springs and lots of other mods including Porsche brakes
in the front
'90 200q20v 20vt donor, at the moment with a broken distributor gear :(((
