At idle the oil light flashes when cold and stays on when warm on my CGT with the 2.3 NG engine. I'm thinking slightly low oil pressure when warn, but cannot confirm it as I have no oil pressure gauge. Anyway, it appears to idle somewhere around 700-800 RPM (1-2 bars on the digi gauge). If I just bump up the idle a touch, the light goes out. I know the ECU is supposed to control the idle on the NG engine, but in my case if I close the idle screw all the way, it idles closer to 500-600 and idles rough, so I've opened the screw a tad. Should I open it a tad more to get the oil light to go out or am I just being paranoid? Any thoughts on why it won't run right with the idle screw closed all the way?
