Light flywheels - easy to change revs up and down. i.e. touch the gas (clut=
ch out) engine revs quickly. Let off the gas, engine revs drop quickly. Low=
rotational momentum, therefore if you don't give enough gas when engaging =
the clutch, the car may stall as the flywheel doesn't have the same amount =
of momentum to get the car to move.

Advantage - Quicker throttle response, although a heavy car will
                    mute this.
Disadvantage - Low engine momentum, less STABLE revs, so easier to
stall. Harder to "lazy" shift as revs
drop quickly when you let off the gas.

Heavy flywheels - Stable RPMs (harder to change up or down, thus
predictable. Used to make shifting easier.

Advantages - predictable, easy to launch car
Disadvantages - less responsive (up or down) to throttle.
