Silly little pipe on MC intake manifold?

Spilled fuel drain.
If you have a 'nasty' with one of the injector lines, it's supposed to drain the spilled fuel
past the (hot) exhaust components and away under the car. There should be a hose attached to
the bottom of the pipe leading away to a coolish spot under the car.
It was introduced with the MC-2 and is part of the update from the MC-1. The inlet manifold
acquired a retaining rim at the same time, and the same change was made to the MB engine used
in the ur-quattro.
It's important this drain is kept clear. On 99% of MC-2 cars it's blocked.
