Dan,
If your rotors are rusty, chances are the rotor is rusted to the hub-
use a big
dead-blow mallet to see if that will remove it, otherwise use a sledge,
careful of
your toes and wear eye protection.

I am replacing the brakes on my '85 4kq. I was able to do the rears
with no problems, but when I try to do the fronts, I cant get the rotor
off the hub. The rear ones just fall off once the caliper housing is
removed, but the fronts stay put. I'm guessing that they are just
rusted to the hub and nothing else needs to be removed, but I'm not
sure. I don't want to hit them much harder with a hammer until I'm sure
there's nothing else holding them on. I don't have to take the axle nut
off do I?
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or give me a hint on how to
break the rust (if that is the problem)
