Installing Window Guides

Looking for info on my 1990 v8 / type 44 windows.  I have 2 problems -

First my guide pin that is at the door jamb side on the front passenger
window has broken apart.  I have ordered a replacement - but looking for
information on installing it.  Do I have to disassemble the door to install
the guide - or does it snap in?

Also the second problem is that the bottom of the window comes out of the
black plastic seat that attaches to the regulator.  Question do you use a
sealant/ adhesive to fix the bottom of the window?
